Uncommon Praise

A blog image of people praising God and a title saying "Uncommon Praise"

When we look at King David, He was a man after God’s heart because He worshipped like no king or prophet before him. He said in Psalm 32:1 (NKJV)

“I will bless the Lord at all times; His praise shall continually be in my mouth”

David knew all his achievements; days spent on heart and battles he had won were due to his consistent praise all his life. Even when his life felt like a country song gone wrong! Ha!

Often, the meaning of life almost seems like a world embellished with good and great!  that the appropriate response as a Christian is a heartfelt Yolanda Adams “Still I Rise” or a huge sigh of “seriously God?”

But who are we to question a perfect God? That’s where Hebrews 13:15 comes in nudging us to offer a sacrificial praise—kind of like giving God a high-five amidst life's chaos. Sometimes, praising is like saying, "Alright, God, I don't see it yet, but I'll trust that You're still the one directing my part just like you did the Israelites."

So, as we embark on this journey of 'Uncommon Praise' in 2024, it's akin to opening a treasure chest of emotions, spiritual connections, and personal devotion toward God. It’s a time for us to pull strength for each other, It's about discovering the extraordinary within the ordinary, turning mundane moments into opportunities for reverent celebration. Having the spirit of David in Psalm 34:1 (NIV), echoing the sentiment of continuous praise:

"I will extol the Lord at all times; his praise will always be on my lips

Enjoy, your season, your year, and your period of uncommon joy, uncommon peace, uncommon favour, UNCOMMON PRAISE!!
